Spanning approximately 69,000 square meters of outdoor space and over 20,000 square meters of indoor exhibition space, NordBau is considered the most important compact construction trade fair in Northern Europe and the entire Baltic Sea region. Around 700 exhibitors from 15 countries meet with approximately 50,000 visitors annually. The fair features over 40 seminars and events, half of which are officially recognized by the Schleswig-Holstein Chamber of Architects and Engineers as continuing education courses. Since 1956, exhibitors have used NordBau to reach both numerous trade visitors and end customers. NordBau enjoys high acceptance and appeal among all those interested in construction and those working in the construction industry. Furthermore, NordBau has maintained close ties with its partner country, Denmark, for over 45 years, which views the trade fair as a foundation for the German and European markets.
